6.Travel blanket

Even though most planes provide a blanket for its passengers, you can never be too sure, especially if you got inexpensive flight tickets or you’re traveling with a new company for the first time. It’s always a good idea to have your own blanket, and nowadays, there are thin compacted blankets that come in really small, easy to pack bags. So it won’t be a problem saving some space in your carry-on bag for it. If you don’t have any space, take a look at some DIY videos, you can transform an ordinary blanket into a sweater or a dress so you can go through security. And once on the plane, you just take it off and use it as a normal blanket!

7.Oversized shawl

It’s the best choice no matter if it’s summer or winter. A shawl provides the same feeling as a coat and a blanket since it’s big, warm and soft. Because it doesn’t restrain your arms, you feel free and comfortable and it’s great for sleeping since you can just cuddle up in your seat and your shawl since it’s oversized will cover your full body providing warmth and coziness. It’s a better option than a blanket because it takes less space and it’s wearable as a clothing item, not only for the plane but also for your trip. Even if you don’t want to layer clothes or take so many things to the plane keep in mind that you can always pack them in your carry-on luggage. This way, if you need these items you’ll be able to reach for them easily. Also don’t forget that depending on your travel insurance some items might not be covered, so it’s always best to take them in your backpack and avoid putting those items on the dispatched bags. So, save some space in your handbag for some warm socks, slip-on shoes or an inflatable neck pillow. It’s always best to be safe than sorry, and in the end, you’ll be thankful for packing these things.
